I joined a small specialist team at NHS West London Clinical Commissioning Group that supported the community affected by the Grenfell Tower Fire. Reporting to the programme director, I supported the design of it’s strategy and also designed a communications strategy, which included a narrative of recovery as well as plans to mitigate crises. Liaising with independent disaster management experts, I advised on auditing and preparing for the Public Inquiry. Often operating in a hostile environment, I created relationships with powerful politically connected community groups and liaised with Kensington and Chealsea London Borough Council and other stakeholders.
